Sheen Farmers Tug of War Club
| Sheen Farmers Tug of War Club - was formed in 1971 and has competed at International level since 1972.
Training takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays throughout the year from 7.00pm to 10.00pm. Sundays is for training or competitions. The Club has a youth training scheme / academy and are responsible for training the England under 23 team at their training ground at Sheen. |

In 2010 they competed in the World Indoor Championships at Cesenatico in Italy representing England and won the 640kg World Title.
In 2011 they have represented England in the European Outdoor Championships at Minehead and achieved the Bronze Medal for 3rd place. Sheen Ladies also representing England in the same event won Bronze.
On the 3rd December 2011 Sheen Farmers Tug of War Team competed in the AAA National Indoor Championships at Birmingham and won 6 gold madals out of a possible 7.
Golds were awarded for the Catchweight, 720kg, 680kg, 640kg, 600kg and the 600kg 4 x 4 mixed event. They took Bronze in the 560kg event.
!n 2023 they competed in the AAA championship and they won gold in the 640kg and Catchweight events.

Premier Events in 2012 - 2013.Representing England, between February 23rd and 26th they defended their world championship status in the 640kg event at the World Championships held at Perth in Scotland and won the GOLD medal. Next - World outdoor championship in Switzerland. In 2013 possibly representing GB in the world games in Columbia. |
